kinHome is a connected suite of software products, kinHome CRM, Journey, Connect and Manage, operated by JFC Group Pty Ltd (ABN to be confirmed) ("kinHome", "we", "us", "our"). We are based in Australia. This policy is governed by Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where we handle the personal information of people in other regions, additional rights may apply, as set out below.
This policy covers our public website, our products, and our dealings with customers and prospective customers. It is important to understand the two ways we handle information:
Name, business name, work contact details, role, account credentials, billing and payment information, and records of your communications with us.
Depending on which products an operator uses, this can include the contact and household details of leads, buyers and residents; enquiry and sales history; appointment and communication records; documents such as contracts and disclosure materials; community and maintenance information; and resident app activity. kinHome does not decide what is collected here; the operator does.
Information you submit through forms (such as the pricing calculator and demo requests), and technical information collected automatically (see Cookies and analytics).
We use information we control to: provide and operate the products; set up and manage accounts; process billing; respond to enquiries and provide support; improve and secure the products; and meet our legal obligations. We process information on behalf of operators only to provide the products and as instructed under our agreement with them. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use resident or buyer information for our own marketing.
kinHome stores customer and product data in Australia, using cloud infrastructure hosted in the Sydney region. Some service providers (for example, email delivery) may process limited information outside Australia; where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with Australian privacy law.
We take the protection of personal information seriously, including encryption in transit and at rest, strict isolation between operators, role-based access controls, and access limited to authorised personnel. Our Security page sets this out in detail. No system is perfectly secure, and operators are responsible for managing access within their own account.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the products, run our business, and meet legal obligations. Product data entered by operators is retained according to our agreement with them and the operator's own settings; when an account ends, that data is deleted or returned in line with the agreement. Website and enquiry data is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected.
Subject to applicable law, you can request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and in some cases ask us to delete it or restrict how it is used. For information held inside an operator's account, please contact that operator first, and we will assist them. To make a request about information we control, contact us using the details below. People in regions with additional rights (such as the EU or UK under the GDPR) may have further rights, including data portability and objection, which we will honour where they apply.
kinHome is business software intended for adults. The products are not designed for, or directed to, children, and we do not knowingly collect children's information through our website.
We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify customers. The "last updated" date at the top shows when this version took effect.
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact us at hello@kinhome.io. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
This policy is provided for transparency and should be read alongside our Terms of Service.
We're happy to walk a privacy or security team through how kinHome works.
